Convert from all perspectives
When optimising your website for conversions, be aware that different people will view it in different ways. I mean, specifically, that websites often look different in different web browsers. Many people use Explorer, but Firefox is also very popular, and Opera and Netscape have their share of followers. And don’t forget all those Mac users who use Safari (there’s a new version of Safari for pc’s too).
Websites all look different in these different contexts. Don’t assume that everyone will use whichever browser you think is the best - people tend to cling loyally to the browser they are comfortable with
Look at your website in an unfamiliar browser - are the graphics in a funny position? Do the fonts look like they should? Do your downloads work? Remember that thousands of people may be looking at your website like this. Is this what you want them to see?
Don’t forget to use the same principle if you are conducting an email campaign. There are many different ways of receiving and viewing emails.
If you want to achieve maximum conversions, make sure your website is optimised for everyone. And not everyone views things the same way you do.
