Catch a Link
Links are some of the most important considerations when building up your website’s search engine rankings. The more incoming links to your website, the more the search engines trust it.
You need to attract people’s attention here, and give them a reason to link. A practice widely referred to as ‘linkbaiting’ is about knowing who you need to attract and providing something enticing for these people.
People who have the power to link include people who participate in forums, have their own blogs or websites, or anyone who contributes to online content – which, with the increasing popularity of social media, is a lot of people.
And what can you provide to attract them? Great content is a huge part of it. One of the best things you can do is to provide information – make your website a valuable resource and people will link to it.
Good quality links can lead to more links, more visitors and higher rankings. Without great incoming links, you don’t have much.
