Here’s an interesting development if you’re getting into mobile search, Google AdWords for mobile plans to unveil a new breed of paid ads – known as ‘click-to-call’ ads, they have been engineered to work with phone extensions and will dance around on your mobile screen as animated text ads. Talk about a clear call-to-action, right?

This is a very fresh development on the Pay-Per-Click front, so we’ll keep an eye out to see what else Google announces surrounding this information.

I think that this development is exceptionally innovative, because not only will smaller businesses be able to capitalize on high amounts of impressions for their exact keywords targets through paid ads, but they will also be prompting the user to act via an animated, eye-catching marketing message.

It’s also an amazing way to track phone conversions. I would envisage that Google may have a dearer price tag attached to this new breed of mobile paid ads, but you never know!

This is definitely something to look out for!
